3 Valleys ski-passes (Full area)

The 3 Valleys is the largest linked ski area in the world and anyone of intermediate ability and above usually takes advantage of the full area 3 Valleys Pass. It offers unlimited access to 180 lifts, 600kms of piste and 8 resorts: Meribel/Mottaret, Courchevel, La Tania, Val Thorens, Les Menuires/St Martin, Orelle and Brides Les Bains.

Val Thorens Valley ski-passes (Local area)

There are two local area passes to choose from:

Val Thorens-Orelle
The Val Thorens local area pass which covers 150km of piste offers plenty for the beginner skiers and those intermediate skiers who are content to explore the top end of the valley.

Vallee de Belleville
For those that want to explore further, but not perhaps the whole of the 3 Valleys area, then the Vallee de Belleville pass covers the entire valley from Les Menuires and St Martin de Belleville at the bottom of the valley to the Val Thorens local area at the top of the valley.

Family Ski Passes

For the 2018-19 season, any families should now buy the Tribu 3 pass, which you can add family members to - everyone pays the same price for either six or seven days.

Beginners ski-passes

Beginners can move up from using the free drag lift and magic carpets, to a pass that is available for morning, afternoon and one day durations - prices are 50% less than standard passes. Three beginners sectors are available using the beginner pass:

Plein Sud
Castor & Pollux, two twin covered 240m long moving carpets - free access, Cairn gondola - access with a beginners ski pass 

Musaraigne and Campagnols, two 200m long moving carpets, in series, right at the heart of La Grenouillère - free access, Roc drag lift - free access, Two Lacs - access with a beginners ski pass 

Caron cable car - access with a beginners ski pass 

Beginner Ski Areas in Val Thorens

Snowpark passes

In Val Thorens and Les Menuires there are two different snowparks which you have access to with either a local area or a Three Valleys pass. The Three Valleys pass also includes the family park in Courchevel, plus two more snowparks in Meribel - the moon park and DC Area 43.

Discounted ski-passes

Eary and late season
If you visit Val Thorens in the first 2 or the very last week of the season, you will benefit from reduced rates on your lift pass. However, depending on snowfall, this is potentially accompanied by a reduced ski area.

Free passes

Under 5's and over 75's can use the lifts for free, whether on foot or on skis in the 3 valleys. Proof of age will be required at the point of sale and a photo is also required - these can be taken at the ticket office in resort. Although the pass is technically free you'll need to pay 3 euros for a hands free card to access the lifts. 

There is free access to 1 drag-lift and 4 magic carpets for beginners.

Cross-country ski-passes

All the cross country ski itineraries in Val Thorens are free to use. If you like exploring, the whole of the 3 valleys is at your fingertips.

Season passes

Season passes are available for the three key ski areas of the 3 Valleys, Val Thorens-Orelle or the Belleville valley. Different rates are available for individuals, couples, groups of three and families. 

Pedestrian passes

6 day pedestrian passes are available for Val Thorens-Orelle area. Pedestrian passes are available for the 3 Valleys lift area at a cost, although under 5's and over 75's go free. Take a look at all of the pedestrian (pietons) lifts available in the 3 Valleys. Passes can only be purchased from one of the Ski Pass Offices

Other passes

3 Vallées Liberté
If you are a regular skier in Val Thorens and the 3 Valleys then the 3 Vallées Liberté card may be of interest to you. Anyone that skis at least 8 (non-consecutive) days a season can benefit from the total freedom to ski whenever they want without having to pass by the ticket office each time. Payment is debited directly from your bank account after you have enjoyed your day on the slopes and you can check your account on-line anytime.  The more you ski, the greater the reductions you can accumulate (10% - 15%) and on your 9th ski day is free (then every 6 days).
