What a week to be in Val Thorens. After last week's massive snowfall in the 3 Vallees, this week saw bluebird day after bluebird day. Snow levels at the resort level in Val Thorens are an impressive 200cm, and over 250cm art 3200m.
The avalanche risk is back down to 3/5 after being at 4/5 after the last dump, and consistent temperatures of between -1C and -6C are insuring the snow is staying in great condition, and certainly won't be going anywhere any time soon. There's more snow on the forecast as well, with a top up on Thursday, and a dump predicted for Sunday.
