Events in Val Thorens on 10 July 2021

France's most prestigious ice-racing series stages one race each season at the French ski resort of Val Thorens.

Plus kit tests, pro-coaching, live music and parties - on and off the hill.

Skiers compete simultaneously in groups of four and hurtle down the specially prepared track as quickly as possible. Only the first two of each run are qualified for the next stage until the grand finale.

From 20th December until Christmas Eve, the enchanted world of Christmas will come to life near Father Christmas' cabin in Val Thorens, the highest resort in Europe.

The market in Val Thorens takes place every Tuesday and Thursday during both winter and summer seasons.

Traditional torchlight descent with the ESF instructors. Arrival of Ded Moroz, the Russian Santa Claus, and Snegourochka.

A 10k race with 300 D+ elevation gain... sound like the kind of thing to get in shape for? 

Every Monday during the school holidays the ESF will wow and amaze with a daring descent, flaming torches in hand, swiftly followed by a dramatic firework show.

The day will revolve around the motto “Speedup for the protection of snow leopards.” At this Europe-wide event, you have the opportunity to collect vertical meters on designated runs to help the endangered wild cats.
