Having been in existence for over 30 years, this authentic mountain restaurant combines their experience with a modern twist.

2. Il Gusto Restaurant

This Italian restaurant offers gourmet Italian cuisine in the heart of Val Thorens.

On the menu alongside delicious pizzas, you'll find all your favourite Italian classics such as antipasti, minestrone, panna cotta and tiramisu plus some new takes on Italian dishes, all served with a gourmet flair.

They're open for lunch to cater for hungry skiers and for dinner service all through the ski season.

You can find the restaurant and bar in the Oxalys residence, which you can reach easily from the slopes or on foot from the centre of resort.

There is nothing like spending a day in the mountains to work up an appetite! Give in to the tempting flavours of traditional Alpine cuisine - melted cheese, cured meats, hearty mountain food to satisfy your senses...

This restaurant is perfectly located at the foot of the Val Thorens ski slopes, at the Hotel des 3 Vallees. The restaurant is open to the public as well as to guests of the hotel and you are invited to enjoy a leisurely lunch or a delicious evening meal in its cosy surroundings.

Chef Olivier Caillère, in partnership with Michelin-starred chef Romuald Fassenet, uses fresh local ingredients to create a menu that changes with the seasons. Meat, fish and vegetable options are all available, as well as a tempting selection of homemade desserts and cheese boards. The à la carte menu offers plenty of choice, or the set menus provide good value.

4. Chalet de la Marine Restaurant

This restaurant in Val Thorens is located at the top of the Cascades chairlift on the Dailles piste. In a great location with an excellent terrace and wonderful views you can enjoy a lunch time meal in the sunshine.

The traditional restaurant with log fires and wooden beams serves traditional Savoyard cuisine and gourmet French cuisine with a dessert buffet! Downstairs, there is a self-service bistro where you can get pizzas, sandwiches, soups, pastas and local specialities.

In the evening, you can access the restaurant on a snow mobile or hike up and enjoy a traditional mountain menu of Savoyard delights, caviar or oysters in the warm and cosy restaurant or inside a Mongolian yurt. At the end of your meal, you can pop your skis back on and make your way down the mountain with a torch-lit descent.

5. L'Alpin Restaurant

This restaurant serves pizza, grills, Savoyard dishes and more. The service is efficient and friendly with a quick lunchtime service for those itching to get back out onto the slopes, and a more leisurely dinner time service for a special meal with family and friends. With a sun terrace it is a great venue for lunch during skiing and, in the evening, it makes for a cosy restaurant with friendly staff. We hear that genepi is often given after the meal as a little extra treat!

Open in winter from 08:30 to midnight.

6. Le Dahlia Restaurant and Bar

This restaurant and bar is located in the three Valleys above Saint Martin de Belleville. It is opposite the Saint Martin express chair lift at 1450m with great views over the three valleys and excellent mountain food and drinks.

Serving traditional local dishes, pasta, burgers, salads, children's menus and more you can stop for a bite to eat and get some of your skiing energy back. With an outside terrace and mountain views, it is perfect for a sunny day and when the weather closes in you can retreat to the warm and cosy restaurant.

This Italian restaurant, located in Résidence Les Ancolies, also serves traditional Savoyard cuisine in a warm, alpine setting. The menu features pizzas, pasta, meats, burgers, and regional specialties, making it ideal for groups, families, and friends. Dishes are delicious and reasonably priced, served by friendly staff. Guests can enjoy quick service on the terrace at lunch or relax in the cosy Savoyard-style interior at dinner, making it a perfect spot for any mealtime.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day throughout the winter season. Booking is recommended during peak season.

A slopeside brasserie restaurant with an excellent sun terrace and warming interior where you can enjoy gourmet and traditional cuisine for lunch or dinner.

Soak up the sun or retreat inside at lunchtime and choose from dishes such as salads, soups, omelettes, meats, fish and Savoyard specialities as well as some delicious desserts. In the evening, sit back and relax and soak up the mountain atmosphere with friendly staff serving meat, fish, pasta, Savoyard dishes and menus for you to choose from.

There is a 'pub' for après-ski and the Igloo for pizza, snacks and drinks at any time of the day so a great place for a pit stop during a gruelling ski day!

Booking is recommended in peak season and especially when the weather is sunny as the south facing terrace gets busy.

Right at the bottom of the slopes, next to the tourist office, with a glorious sunny terrace for those days when the sun shines and a lovely cosy interior for bad weather days and evenings. Serving delicious pizzas, burgers, seafood, pastas, sandwiches, Savoyard specialities and grills there is a wide selection for everyone to choose from. Service is friendly and speedy during lunchtime when the skiers rush hits and more leisurely in the evenings.

The warm and welcoming interior caters for the evening guests and local Savoyard dishes are among the evening dishes you can enjoy, along with some good french wines.

Open every day in winter, all day until late in the evening.

Right in the centre of Val Thorens, in the sports centre complex, is a small restaurant that looks like a snack bar but in fact serves up good traditional mountain meals. With friendly staff, quick service and a surprisingly wide selection of dishes at reasonable prices this restaurant is a great place for a quick meal or a relaxed family dinner. Once you are inside you can easily forget you are in a sports/shopping centre and with the constant flow of customers you quickly realise that this is, in fact a popular spot.

Serving the usual raclette and fondue meals, along with galettes (savoury crepes), steak, pasta, pizza and salads there is something for everyone. They do a good choice of dessert options too, from ice cream to sweet nutella filled crepes.

Make sure to book in advance for this popular restaurant. Good, no frills local food, served with a smile from the friendly owners and staff. This restaurant is a hit with locals and tourists alike.

With lots of return diners, this restaurant is a firm favourite in Val Thorens. A cosy chalet-style decor give this restaurant it's lovely authentic feel. The staff are warm and friendly. The food is good simple mountain food, in generous servings and at a reasonable price. 

A huge range of cheese and meat fondues are on offer, as well as classic French meat and fish dishes. There's also a children's menu with a number of good options available, including 'kids fondue'. They also offer a great plat du jour which is very affordable.

There's a reason this restaurant has been going for more than 30 years and is still turning people away at the doors, as they're often fully booked.

Open in winter from November to April.

Situated at the bottom of the slopes in the centre of Val Thorens, it is easy for skiers and pedestrians alike to enjoy a lunch here. For lunch they offer a good value daily special, whilst at dinner time the restaurant becomes cosier and with friendly service you can enjoy a relaxing meal with family and friends.

The restaurant also has a large sunny terrace where you can enjoy lunch including their pierrade, grilled meat or homemade desserts.

Located at the bottom of the slopes, just a short walk from the very centre of town, it is in a great position for lunch breaks whilst out on the mountains, or for a relaxing meal at dinner time. With a welcoming atmosphere and a great vibe the restaurant is perfect for groups and families.

Booking is recommended in peak season as the restaurant is popular. Open from 11:00 to 23:00.

Traditional-style mountain restaurant with a friendly vibe, welcoming staff and stunning views over the resort of Val Thorens. The perfect spot to watch the sunset.

They have a self-service on the ground floor and a restaurant on the first floor. They serve up anything from a hot chocolate to vin chaud, tea coffee, beer, wine and spirits, as well as a selection of snacks, cakes and full meals.

They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner while the slopes are open, throughout the winter season.

16. La Voute Restaurant

Along the valley from Val Thorens, you will find this pizzeria in Saint Martin de Belleville. In an ancient chalet located in the heart of the village, along with pizzas you can enjoy local Savoyard specialities and traditional French cuisine. The warm and friendly atmosphere makes this restaurant a popular choice amongst locals and tourists.

It has direct access to the pistes. Open from December to April and from in July and August, every day for lunch and dinner. In September, October and November they open for lunch on weekdays, and for lunch and dinner on Friday and Saturday.

Burger at Rond Point Meribel

17. Le Rond Point Restaurant & Snack Bar

Le Rond Point in Méribel is a lively, piste-side favourite, serving food and drinks all day from its relaxed bar and welcoming restaurant. Its burgers are a standout, perfect for grabbing on the go between runs or enjoying as part of a long, laid-back lunch in the sun. With great mountain views, a famously buzzing après-ski atmosphere and plenty of space to unwind, it’s an essential stop for anyone looking to soak up Méribel’s energetic mountain vibe.

The Rond Point has two food outlets, the wonderful à la carte restaurant and its very popular snack bar. Both are open daily throughout the season and offer the opportunity to enjoy outdoor dining (when sunny!) on Ronnie’s beautiful and popular south facing terrace.

The two kitchens offer completely different dining experiences, with the a la carte serving a fusion of local and pan European dishes, which can be enjoyed with a selection delightful beverages served by a fantastic multilingual team of staff. The snack bar is self service and offers a selection of beef, chicken or vegetarian burgers or Thai woks that contain the best locally sourced ingredients, made with love. The snack bar is arguably one of the most popular mountain side food outlets in the Three Valleys so please expect to queue. However, service is efficient friendly and well worth the short waiting times!

Situated where the Foret and Rhodos green runs meet, it is easy for every level of skier and boarder to access and it can also be reached on foot from town.

Don’t forget to return to the Ronnie at the end of the day when the bar turns into a legendary après-ski venue. It is a Three Valleys experience not to be missed!
