British TV channel 'W' have ordered a new ten-part series following the medical emergency teams of Val Thorens. With unprecedented behind the scenes access, the show will reveal the day to day activities of the first responders and medical centre staff throughout the valley.

From the pisteurs transporting injured skiers off the slopes, and staff in the local hospital, the emergency services are on call 24/7, and Ski A&E will be there to catch all the action. And it's not just the drama on the slopes. With and estimated 400,000 visitors in the winter season, the medical and rescue services see all kinds of cases. From altitude sickness brought on from a stay at Europe's highest ski resort, and injuries sustained from slips and fall, to revellers who have overdone it at apres-ski, viewers will gain a fantastic insight into the life-sustaining work that goes on in Val Thorens.
