Europe's highest zipline has a new friend in Val Thorens.

In 2014 Europe's highest zipwire was opened in Val Thorens. Located on a peak at 3230m, the ride goes from the top of the Bouchet chairlift in the Orelle resort over to the Val Thorens crest, at 3000m at the top of the Funitel cable car. The zip wire flight lasts 1 minute 45 seconds and you will reach speeds of over 100 km/h.

Now, it has a big brother. Not as high, but certainly longer, the new zipline will carry passengers a whopping 1.6km from the top of the Moutier chair lift at 2511m altitude, back to the heart of the resort at Place Caron over three stages. The new line will be open daily for winter 2018/19 and will be accessible to skiers and pedestrians alike.
