Skier Killed in Off Piste Avalanche on Mont de La Chambre
Tragic news from yesterday as a man is found dead in an avalanche
A 53 year old man, believed to be from Paris, was found dead last night at around 2500m altitude on Mont de La Chambre in between Mottaret and Val Thorens.
Rescue services were alerted after the man failed to return to resort. He was later found in a snow slide on the mountain.
Avalanche risk levels are still at 3/5 today and you are advise to exercise caution when going off piste.
