There is nothing like spending a day in the mountains to work up an appetite! Give in to the tempting flavours of traditional Alpine cuisine - melted cheese, cured meats, hearty mountain food to satisfy your senses...

This restaurant is perfectly located at the foot of the Val Thorens ski slopes, at the Hotel des 3 Vallees. The restaurant is open to the public as well as to guests of the hotel and you are invited to enjoy a leisurely lunch or a delicious evening meal in its cosy surroundings.

Chef Olivier Caillère, in partnership with Michelin-starred chef Romuald Fassenet, uses fresh local ingredients to create a menu that changes with the seasons. Meat, fish and vegetable options are all available, as well as a tempting selection of homemade desserts and cheese boards. The à la carte menu offers plenty of choice, or the set menus provide good value.

2. Bagatelle Restaurant

Part of the prestigious Bagatelle Bistrot brand, with branches in New York, Ibiza, St Barth, Dubai and London, this mountain restaurant brings yet more luxury to the Courchevel slopes.

Their terrace has breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc and the surrounding valleys with a 360º panoramic view. They serve the brand signature French cuisine, including foie gras, baked Mont d'Or cheese with truffles, tuna tartare, fresh fish and meat, pasta and even lobster. Of course, these all come with a super luxury price tag as well.

Open from December to April.

Working hand in hand with their loyal staff, day after day, the duo René, Marie-Louise, Maxime and Sophie Meilleur compose subtle gastronomic scores in the idyllic setting of their Savoyard chalet.

The self taught father and son team, Réne & Maxime, has developed a creative and subtle cuisine, genuine and irreverent, which draws inspiration from the culinary traditions of Savoie while paying homage to them. They combine authentic surroundings with an avant-garde exploration of cooking and wine.

Their signature dishes include Escalope of duck foie gras with corn galette, Savoyard honey, vegetable crumbs and a reduction of vinegar, Fera fish with fresh butter, sorrel carrots and acidic sabayon, or 'milk in all its states: meringue, confiture, sorbet, biscuits...'

The two dining rooms, and the table d'hote (communal dining area) are warm and welcoming. The kitchen, table service and hospitality are led by a team of two. Marie-Louise, René's wife, is the hostess, while her daughter-in-law Delphine, Maxime's wife, is the maitre d'hotel.

Open from early December to the end of April and from mid-June to early September.

Hotel Le Val Thorens invites you to sample some delicious Savoyard cuisine at this restaurant, located on the side of the pistes in the heart of resort.

The restaurant is located in the Place de L'Eglise so is easily accessible on foot or on skis. The ambience is warm and cosy, with traditional wooden furnishings and friendly staff.

Enjoy delicious Savoyard specialities such as fondue and raclette in traditional Savoyard surroundings.

Gourmet restaurant in a fabulous location with a Michelin starred chef. 

The setting of this restaurant alone makes it worth a visit, located at the top of Val Thorens in the Hotel Kohinor, the large bay windows and panoramic terrace provide stunning views of the resort and surrounding peaks.

If the views don't take your breath away then the food most certainly will. The inventive cuisine of Michelin starred chef, Eric Samson, is focused on preparing delicious dishes, all beautifully presented, but not with everyday produce. For example, he prepares a whole range of plates entirely dedicated to black truffles and also uses a wide range of aromatic plants and mountain herbs in his refined but creative winter menus.

Open for lunch and dinner with a daily changing specials menu in addition to the à la carte options.

One of Val Thorens' newest five star hotels has an incredible Michelin starred restaurant within.

Chef Josselin Jeanblanc brings you award winning cuisine in a refined and contemporary styled restaurant. The menu has been created in collaboration with Romauld Fassenet, a winner of the prestigious “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” award.

The pastry chef is Sébastien Deléglise, who was awarded the "Passion Dessert" Trophy by the Michelin Guide in 2023.

Stop off for lunch or dinner at this restaurant which is part of the five star Altapura hotel in resort. Enjoy lunch on the large terrace looking over the Caron summit.

On a stunning terrace facing the Caron peak, choose from the traditional menu. As a seasoned skier, you can choose from the grill of the day, quick snacks, a selection of platters and the dessert buffet… enjoy the delights of skiing without forgoing culinary pleasures!

In the evening, it's showtime from the chefs with a selection of hot dishes from the rotisserie and Asian woks, as well as a variety of pasta plus local cheeses and desserts that will “bowl you over”, with no chance of injury!

In the five-star Le Fitz Roy hotel in Val Thorens, the Beca restaurant offers authentic, generous homemade cuisine where Savoyard classics meet French bistronomy.

The menu features dishes to share with friends and family, which can be enjoyed on the terrace with views of the Alpine peaks or in the subtly decorated, cosy dining room. On the dessert side, the buffet caters to all tastes and appetites, with options by the slice or all-you-can-eat for the most indulgent.

Located in the heart of Val Thorens at the Place de L'Eglise you can ski to the terrace during the day or take the short walk to the hotel via the Grand Rue.

A warm and cosy atmosphere, with large menu choices and a chalet-style setting, this is a great place for families and friends. Booking is recommended for evening meals. The restaurant is located on Rue du Soleil, so can be accessed by foot or on skis from the Rond Point.

The restaurant is open from 18:30everyday. On Saturdays, the restaurant is also open for lunch from 11:30 to 14:00, with a menu costing just €19.

At 300m above Val Thorens, the highest resort in Europe, the restaurant adjoins the famous Folie Douce. The unique concept and innovative design inspired by traditional dairy cooperatives is reflected in the restaurant’s outstanding menu. You can enjoy sophisticated cuisine cooked with carefully selected products – most of which are sourced locally.

The waiters are only too happy to guide you through the creations of their Chefs. Gourmet lovers will value their advice for selecting the perfect wine to accompany your meal.

The restaurant is open from 12:00 to 15:00, seven days a week

Welcome to Tango Restaurant. This is an amazing place to enjoy a dinner with the little extra. The fun and busy French and Swedish style cuisine restaurant will definitely satisfy the most peckish. Part of the Langley run 3 star Hotel Tango in the centre of Val Thorens, Tango is open for breakfast with a generous buffet, lunch offering pizzas, burgers ad salads and dinner with a more sophisticated a la carte menu every day throughout the season.

The bar at Tango is an ideal place to stop off and listen to the live music, sip on a vin chaud, a fancy cocktail, or a good glass of wine after a day on the mountain. Get cosy in front of the fireplace and face the beautiful view from the lounge.

All week long they play live music and every night they have a DJ setting the mood. Tango offers you a relaxed and warm environment with friendly Scandinavian staff.

The restaurant can be accessed by skiers from the slopes or by a short walk from the town centre to Rue de la Boucle.
