The summer season may just be drawing to a close but winter feels like it's already here as it has just been snowing in Val Thorens - in August!
We have had in between 10-15cm this morning and we locals are all keeping our fingers crossed that this is a good sign for the winter to come…
As far as the summer is concerned, we've had a great one here in the Belleville valley with plenty of sunshine, beautiful walks, lively entertainment and events, and of course, lots of happy visitors.
For now, the tourists have left the valley and everything is pretty calm again. The peace will not last long however as soon the preparations for winter will begin in earnest. Do remember to check in with us during the autumn for all updates on what's new in resort and information on the key events for the upcoming ski season 2012/2013.
With only a few months to go, the countdown to winter is most definitely on for all of you snow lovers out there and we look forward to seeing you in the Val Thorens powder soon!
