What's on This Week in the Belleville Valley
Live music, cocktails & clubbing
There is plenty going on this week in the Belleville Valley to keep you entertained..
It’s that time of year again at Bar Le Challenge in Les Menuires when they have a full week musical festival with live music every evening. This week there is Salsa on Monday, ‘Coffe Tone’ on Tuesday with funk, ‘Papa style’ on Wednesday with ska reggae, Mr Orange rocking out on Thursday, DJ NBRS on Friday with electro and Balik Dde Danakil The Rezident on Saturday with more reggae, certainly sounds like a real mix!
If your style of music isn’t covered in all that then on Wednesday in Les Menuires there is a jazz concert in La Croisette starting at 6.30pm which is a homage to Sidney Bechet. The following evening there is also a jazz evening in Val Thorens at the Church with free entry from 8.30pm.
Maybe not quite France’s answer to Dynamo (more Bobo the Clown) but if you want to see a magic trick or two then head to La Sapiniere in the Reberty area of Les Menuires on Tuesday evening from 8pm where Jean-Pierre Rey from the restaurant L’Etoile performs magic tricks moving from table to table wowing guests with magic and card tricks.
Further up the valley, Lesia Dot is playing guitar up in Val Thorens live at SnowCafe every evening from 5pm-7pm for après and they have some great cocktail offers too so take your weary ski legs their way for après. It was mojitos night last night too at La Mercure in VT so they should be well practised and warmed up to whip up a cocktail or two for the rest of the week.
Finally, Afrojack is back at Malaysia in Val Thorens tonight djing from 10.30pm (tickets 15 euros) and will be continuing the party tomorrow at Bar 360 on the piste with tickets 20 euros for both, why do something half-hearted, go all in!
