Spring has arrived in Val Thorens and the Three Valleys and after almost a week of snow and clouds the sun has come out and the forecast is that it's here to stay.

It is no easy task to keep Val Thorens accessible to the world when the snow starts coming down.

Welcome to a new season of snow reports! Conditions on piste are great and the 3 Valleys links opened this weekend.

A round up of this season and information about closing dates for Courchevel, Meribel & Val Thorens. Caroline will be back next winter with more video snow reports!

Caroline's weekly edition of her snow report, which this week includes some information about the upcoming blues festival in Meribel.

High winds may be hitting resort next week, which with wind chill, will make conditions really cold. If you want to stay a little warmer, head to some of the lower pistes down in Les Menuires and St Martin. 

A few flurries of snow are due on this week's forecast with a bit of a dump due on Satruday which would be great.

Lots of snow fell in Val Thorens this weekend - around half a metre!

There is a lovely looking forecast this week, with more snow heading to Val Thorens tomorrow.

Conditions on piste are good this week and snow depths are great across the 3 Valleys.

Warm weather has been affecting some of the lower pistes in resort this week, with some of them needing to be closed. Higher up in resort snow cover is still good and the pistes are in good condition.

A good half a metre of snow is on the forecast over the course of the weekend, which is great news.

 Aurelien is back with another update on ski conditions in Val Thorens, where as you can see it's now really sunny so there's no need for wearing balaclavas this week!

We've had lots of snow across the alps in the last week, which is great news for anyone heading to Val Thorens between now and the end of the season.

Courchevel is looking great at the moment with some of the best powder I've ever seen. There is so much snow and when the sun came out on Wednesday we made the most of it.

Spring has finally sprung and we have had some great skiing this week with fresh powder and clear skies. Hopefully the sun will stay out over the next few weeks so we can see out the end of the season in style.

Around 85% o of pistes in Val Thorens are open with around 200+ open in the 3 valleys, so there's plenty of skiing to be had here.

Lots of snow this week has hugely improved the conditions on and off-piste.

La Patrouille de France, France's answer to the Red Arrows, painted the skies above Méribel red, white and blue this week in an amazing aerial display.

This week Caroline looks at the Off Piste safety training zone in Meribel Mottaret and rounds up all the new events for the week.

The snow is still great in Meribel and if the weather isn't the usual Spring sunshine that we would expect for this time of year there is always the option of going cross country skiing.

Caroline is back with the first report from the 3 Vallées where the season is about to begin. Conditions are looking excellent for the opening weekend with over 1m of snow and bright sunshine.

Temperatures are set to stay chilly all week this week, so don't forget to layer up!

It's quite cloudy today in Val Thorens and there's been a few cm of fresh snow.

Snow depths in Val Thorens are now really great although with all the fresh snow the avalanche risk has increased to 3/5.

It's been a warm week this week, and all that new snow we had last week seems to have melted already, however the piste teams have been moving snow around to keep everything in good shape.

Caroline is back and so is the snow. There's been a huge dump of snow over the last week that has put down over half a meter in Meribel town and over two metres at the top of the Sauliere.

Around 80cm snow fell yesterday with another 40cm overnight. It's been pretty windy here with lots of wind closures.
