It lies at the entrance to the resort close to shops and leisure facilities (including a sports centre with tennis courts, a watersports area with swimming pool and a fitness centre with sauna, hammam and jacuzzis). Slopes can be accessed directly on skis.

The Vanoise National Park is one of the highlights of the Tarentaise region.

At the bottom of the slopes located in the Resdience Village Montana on rue de soleil is a lift ticket office.

This Lift pass office is located in the centre of Val Thorens near to the tourist office and opposite the Centre Commercial Caron, on Rue de Caron, inside the Olympiades building.

Located in the Residence Forum next to the Le Portillo Hotel at Place de Peclet, you can pick up lift passes, lift information and more at this office.

In Val Thorens you have the option of picking up your pre-booked ski passes from an automatic distributor machine.

Les Menuires is a practical, good-value base with ski-in ski-out access to the vast Three Valleys. Most accommodation is in La Croisette near the shops, bars and restaurants, while Reberty and Les Bruyeres offer a more traditional feel with their own lifts and facilities. Quieter hamlets like Le Bettaix give you easy piste access in a peaceful setting.

Val Thorens is a purpose built resort created over 40 years ago, the original idea thought up by Pierre Schnebelen. The resort began its first season in December 1971 with just three draglifts.

St Martin de Belleville combines traditional French village charm with the convenience of modern skiing.
